Paco de Lucia, born as the youngest of five brothers in the Algeciras town of Cadiz, the southern end of Spain, grew up in a musical family environment On December 21, in 1947. His father, Antonio Sanchez, was a flamenco guitarist. There were also flamenco singers Pepe De Lucia, flamenco guitarist and Ramon De Algeciras. The name Paco De Lucia came from his Portuguese mother Lucia Gomes. After returning to Spain, he moved to Madrid with his family in 1964. During the days of Madrid, he finished recording three separate albums together with madranian guitarist Ricardo Modrego.

He recorded three more albums with his brother Ramon De Algeciras in 1966. He completed his first solo album, La Fabulosa Guitarra de Paco de Lucía, which was another important point in his musical life in 1967.
Between 1968 and 1977, he performed musical works with Flamenco musician Camaron De La Isla.
Paco De Lucia was interested in jazz fusion in the late 1970s. Al Dimeola’s album Elegant Gypsy, which was released, reflected in pieces, was also admired by flamenco guitarists in 1977.
Paco De Lucia founded The Guitar Trio, with the names of John McLaughlin and Larry Coryell in 1979. This trio is on a short European adventure. During the tour, he recorded a video called “The Meeting Of Souls” on Royal Albert Hall in London. In the following time, the musician Al Di Meola filled the void from Coryell. Since 1981, this trio recorded three separate albums and became ineffective during her recordings with Lucia’s brothers. Together with Ramon and Pepe, De Lucia released their first album, Paco De Lucia Sexet.
De Lucia also released a number of albums with modern and traditional flamenco styles as solo albums. With its wide repertoire, De Lucia has created a whole new flamenco concept, and has never seen any boundaries in the technical and musical aspects of guitar use. Paco De Lucia is also a master of rasgueado and picado, who can use the classic guitar very quickly. Paco De Lucia, known as a legend in the music world, died on the beach, while playing with his children, having a heart attack on February 25, in 2014. When the famous musician passed away, he was 66 years old.
